Isn't this the real appeal of the Internet - bringing together a wide variety of people and viewpoints that might otherwise never have met, leading to conversations that would never have happened offline?

Interesting, but the whole point of social media is exchange of information and help. Helps a lot and we get to learn a lot, things which we previously unaware of probably!
