What I feel sad about is that despite the valiant efforts of team Anna and the common citizens of India, the janlokpal bill will not be passed. After all which politician would want a strong lokpal? The BJP too is being coy & actually siding with the Congress abt PM not being under the purview of Lokpal. Who will the citizen turn to, to vote for, even if they want to throw out this corrupt govt?

There's too much Idealism, too many labels and true to our Indian character, we yoyo from one extreme to another -- from total indifference and apathy to being vigilantes. Anna Hazare has made his point. Now it is time for the elected representatives to act. If we want to avoid making this fight against corruption look like a circus, let's find creative and sustainable ways of getting the Government to bring about change -- else use democratic and constitutional provisions to change the Government.

Please do switch on your TV and watch the News Hour repeat airing right now. They will re-air the story and debate about BJP aligning it's own position on the Lokpal Bill with the Congress against the proposal from India Against Corruption. Please tell me what we should do when the political class refuse to get into line?
